America's Test Kitchen rated it Recommended with Reservations. It "cooked perfectly crispy french fries and chicken cutlets with even browning," but "the same glass material made the drawer heavy and difficult to use when shaking foods halfway through the cooking process and washing by hand," and "The drawer and the tab-like handles on both sides of it became extremely hot during cooking." Its cooking surface fit "only two pieces of chicken cutlets snugly." ATK's winner, the Instant Vortex Plus 6-Quart, cooks as well, holds twice as much and costs much less.
