America's Test Kitchen rated the Smeg Recommended with reservations. "This model had a quiet motor and the reamer spinned smoothly," but "we had to exert a lot of pressure while using this model, and our hands and arms quickly became tired." "Limes kept rolling off the dull tip of the reamer," grapefruit pulp threatened to overflow the strainer, and "We also had trouble removing the parts for cleaning." ATK's winner, the Breville Citrus Press, and its Best Buy, the Dash Dual, both rated higher for performance, ease of use and cleanup, and the Dash costs a small fraction as much. Buy the Smeg for its looks.

"This inexpensive and lightweight juicer did an excellent job juicing all sizes of citrus fruit." It "took a couple of minutes longer to juice lemons but it was easy to use and produced just as much juice." You press the fruit down by hand instead of pulling a lever, and its double strainer can clog with pulp. It weighs under 2 pounds and the listing doesn't state a warranty.

Not for the juice, according to America's Test Kitchen: it tired testers' hands, limes rolled off its reamer and it was hard to take apart for cleaning. ATK's winner, the Breville Citrus Press, and its Best Buy, the Dash Dual, both rated higher. This is the current CJF11 model.
