Why
The two testers who stress-tested it disagree. Prudent Reviews ranked the Caraway among its two best ceramic pans, though it found a dip where the floor meets the wall that lets eggs run to the edge, and the exterior paint chipped. America's Test Kitchen found its coating started to fail in the second round of egg tests, with only 36 of 50 eggs releasing properly, and gave it 2 of 3 stars. The GreenPan Valencia Pro costs less, and neither tester found a clear lifespan winner. Buy the Caraway if you want its look; otherwise the GreenPan is the better deal.

Prudent Reviews tested both at 10" and found the Valencia Pro "had a more pronounced decline in performance" after stress testing, though it "didn't perform much worse than Made In and Caraway." America's Test Kitchen named the 12" Valencia Pro its best ceramic nonstick skillet, "one of only three pans to pass our test of nonstick coating durability," in the same test where the Caraway's coating started to fail.

Is the Caraway frying pan oven safe?
Yes. Caraway lists its cookware as oven-safe up to 550°F and recommends low to medium heat with a little oil or butter.
Is Caraway better than GreenPan?
Testers disagree. Prudent Reviews found the Caraway held up better than the GreenPan Valencia Pro after stress testing. America's Test Kitchen found the opposite: the Valencia Pro passed its coating-durability test and the Caraway's coating started to fail.
