What the testers found
The testers split on the Wüsthof, but both rate this knife highly. America's Test Kitchen says it "is nearly identical to our favorite," the Fibrox Pro, and "excelled at every task we gave it," though testers liked its longer, slicker handle less. TechGearLab ranked the Wüsthof first and this knife its Best Value, "a no-frills tool that performs as well as some knives that are double or triple its price." Its cons: "Looks aren't attractive, low weight can feel cheap." It weighs well under the Wüsthof's 9 oz.
