What the testers found
America's Test Kitchen's Best Overall espresso machine, with the same full marks for coffee quality as the Silvia and higher scores for ease of use and cleanup. It has a built-in conical burr grinder, which the Silvia lacks, and "it’s ready to start brewing in less than a minute," against the Silvia's 3 minutes 19 seconds. Its steam wand is manual, like the Silvia's. "In sum: This is a great all-in-one choice." ATK didn't test long-term durability.
