What the testers found
One of America's Test Kitchen's top picks, with the same coffee quality score as the Ottomatic (2 of 3) and full marks for ease of use, carafe and cleanup. "A huge ridged knob allowed us to open and close the carafe with silky smoothness and no ambiguity," and the thermal carafe has a brew-through lid. Its water was in the ideal range for 54 percent of the cycle, and tasters found the coffee "mild," "rounded," and "gentle." Half carafes need a basket swap. ATK didn't test long-term durability.
