America's Test Kitchen rated the KBGV Select Recommended with Reservations. It shares the copper heater of ATK's winning KBT, but tasters found it a bit "thin" in body and slightly "weak" in flavor, and the coffee "cools more quickly in the glass carafe." "The carafe feels fragile." The OXO Brew 8-Cup earned the same coffee score, rated higher for its carafe, ease of use and cleanup, and costs much less. If you want a Moccamaster, ATK's pick is the KBT with its thermal carafe.
