Tom's Guide and T3 each rated the Omni C28 4 out of 5, and Homes & Gardens' headline gives it 4.5 stars. Tom's Guide measured 94% overall in its standardized pickup tests and says "for the price, this is hard to beat"; Homes & Gardens found "some of the best mopping results at this price." Its dock empties the bin, washes and dries the roller mop and refills the water, so there's little to do between runs. The weak spots: "Some erratic pathfinding" (Tom's Guide), no extending brush for corners, fine debris like sugar (Homes & Gardens), and a loud dock. The Roborock Q7 M5 costs a fraction and got the same 4 stars from Tom's Guide and T3, but its dock only charges and its basic pad drags a damp cloth. Splurge if you want a dock that empties the bin and washes the mop; save if you'll empty a bin and rinse a mop pad yourself.

Tom's Guide and T3 each rated it 4 out of 5, the same as the C28; Homes & Gardens gave it 3.5. It vacuums well for the price (TechRadar, which also gave it 4 stars, called its carpet test "a super solid result"), but the dock only charges, so you empty the bin and refill the tank yourself, and its fixed pad just drags a damp cloth. Tom's Guide found the mop "only good for light cleaning" and hair "always tangled in the brush roller"; Homes & Gardens found it "Consistently poor at cleaning hard floors" and says "Mopping smears stains instead of removing them."

Does the Eufy Omni C28 need detergent?
Its dock has no detergent tank, so you add floor cleaner by hand when you refill the clean-water tank, and none comes in the box. Homes & Gardens warns that using a non-Eufy cleaner "could invalidate the warranty."
Is the Eufy Omni C28 good on carpet?
Mixed. Tom's Guide's pickup tests put it at 94% overall and 87% for pet hair, but Homes & Gardens lists "Mixed results on carpet" and says it suits a home that's mostly hard floors. Eufy says the mop lifts 10.8 mm to cross short carpet.
